ASID Headshot Cafe

When ASID asked me if I wanted to be the headshot photographer for their Emerging Professionals event at The Merchandise Mart, I jumped at the opportunity.  I knew it would be a challenge, as they were providing all the students from around the Chicagoland area attending the event the opportunity to get refreshed LinkedIn headshots at no cost, while also allowing some industry professionals to partake in them as well.

What resulted was a 3-hour long headshot session that functioned much like an assembly line.  Originally anticipating 20-30 participants, we wound up taking headshots for 63 total people!  I gave these attendees a treat, as I shot these using my Fuji GFX100S with Profoto B10 Strobes, resulting in some fantastic corporate-style headshot results. This selection represents a small fraction of the images I took that day.  For each participant, I provided them with 3-6 headshots to choose from, completely edited.

I look forward to seeing what these designers of the future are capable of, and I’d be glad to work with them when they’re ready!
